Scrap the girls - September

Another month and another challenge for Scrap the Girls. I've managed 2 months in a row!
This month was 'Sports, or outdoor activities'
So I finally scrapped this professional photo of Tahlia at her first Zone little athletics carnival
way back in 2009!  She did so well, finishing in top 3 of her 4 events and so becoming
addicted to this sport!!
So thats what inspired the title.
I was aiming for this page to be all about the photo, so didnt add too many
embellies to take away from it.
Here is a close-up of the bling
Items used: cardstock, overlay, pp: Stampin Up, Teresa Collins, Bo Bunny, Pink Paislee, Fiskars punch,
washi tape, MME pearl flourish, Burdies handmade flower, letters: Basic Grey &
doodlebug design, October Afternoon journal spot.

Scrap the Girls - August

I decided to have a go at a challenge (its been a while), so I picked Scrap the girls. The criteria this month was to use stars on your layout. So I have finally scrapped this photo of Tahlia from her 1st State Cross Country for school - which was last year! (she finished 19th!)

I have used a red star lace cutout, overlayed ontop of a red Fancy Pants transparency.  I have used a few splashes of glimmermist, burdies embellies zipper flower, Ah Scrap Kraft doily (split in 2), book page, prima flower centres, washi tape, flowers, and I made my own pearl flourishes using some liquid pearls (a tutorial was in the current SBM and I loved the idea so gave it a go) quite happy with the overall result.

BW2 - August

Another month already!!! This year is flying by far too quickly.....
Here is my August layout for the BW2 challenge: This month the colours were, black + aqua and pink. I thought these colours were perfect for this beach photo of Tahlia, as the colours of the photo were also similar.

I have used some striped washi tape, crochet doily from the Chip Chop Shop, heart pop by Rainbow Splendour, bella bling, resin flower, raffia flower, various pp and a Jenny Bowlin bingo card.
Here is the inspiration image to help you along this month
Thanks for popping by and looking,
