Scrap the Boys-December challenge

And while I was at it and the mojo was flowing, I also finished this

page for the Scrap The Boys Challenge.

The theme for this month was:

'All I want for Christmas'

So here is my page of my elfy son.

 I used a charms creations mini runner, and the cute little

elf is a Xmas decoration made from clay

(From K-Mart) - I thought they were so cute

and they came in a mixed pack of 3.

Also, the Xmas tree paper there is actually the packaging from

the decoration!!

And the star paper is also packaging from the Studio Calico pack

 I love these wood veneer stars! Going to be using them heaps!

Scrap the Girls - December challenge

Yep, its the weekend before Xmas and I have scrapped!!!

Crazy, but yes. All my shopping is done, its a hot day

so i scrapped in the air-con

This page is for the challenge over at 'Scrap the Girls'

You had to use multiple photos - 3 or more!

 I have scrapped 3 photos of my daughter and I on the Boomerang

slide at Waterbom Park Bali from our January holiday 2013.

 I have used some texture paste and mists, tissue paper,

and this cool frame from Studio Calico.

 Also did some light stamping among the mist

And finally a closeup of us on the slide - it was so much fun!

BW2 - December - Merry Xmas

Hi all.

BW2 have a fabulous colour combo for this festive season.

Black + reds + blues

I really love this non-traditional colour combo!!

Here is my layout

I scrapped a photo of my Blue Lagoon cocktail

from a few NYE's ago (my fave cocktail) as it looked

so pretty! 

 I have used some wood veneers painted with perfect pearls

flair button, pearls, washi and various other papers.

Monopoly Challenge-wk 7

Week 7 Monopoly challenge over at SB top 50

this week I rolled 'lovers lane' in the quote challenge

my quote was

"I heart you because you are awesome"

PLUS, I had to use some hearts

so I used this fun photo of the kids playing

 I drew some hearts randomly around the page

 and used a Ah Scrap flag banner and pinwheel

 and of course, lots of misting! (using dylusions and glimmermist)

SB top 50 - wk 6 - Monopoly challenge

Week 6 already playing along with the SB top 50 Monopoloy challenge!!!

I landed on chance AGAIN

so I decided to choose challenge 1

here is my page:

I inked the brickwall background

my chipboard pieces are the lightbulb, little frames and monster

and I used some scattered resin flowers.

SB top 50 - wks 3,4,5

Playing catch up here

My challenges over at SB top 50, wks 3,4,5

Here is week 3 - colours

 This week I had landed on 'chance' so got to pick the colour challenge of my choice

SO I picked JAIL - using black and white

Also had to include a polaroid frame (I have used 2 small ones) or filmstrip and

something hidden (My journalled tag)

Now for week 4 - techniques

I landed on Cutters Close

I had to use some fussy cutting and use some leaves.

 my fussy cutting is the flourish at the top, and my leaves are the 

chipboard ones at the bottom, inked with some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine

Now for week 5 - Sketches

I think I got one of the hardest sketches, which really pushed me

I landed on Multi Main

(5 images on the sketch!!! eek)

 I replaced 1 of the images with the SMILE cut out

 I used some textured paste on the background and sprayed with dylusions

ink at the top and Heidi Swapp colour shine at

the bottom

BW2 - November

Hi all

BW2 have a great little colour combo to get you creating just before Xmas.

Black+Browns+reds

Here is the inspiration for you

and here is my take on the colours:

I have used some raw chipboard to create a mocha feel, and

Some texture paste stars coloured with some inks.

  and of course, I went with some project life style features, using the little

journal cards in a block of 4 with the photo.

I love the way this has turned out.

I hope this has inspired you to use some project life

items on your everyday layouts!

Monopoly challenge - week 1

SB top 50 - week 1 of the Monopoly Challenge

This week I rolled the number 2 which meant I landed

on the community chest which was a 'bonus'. I got to decide which of the 3 challenges

I wanted to use but just needed to add some BLING.

The challenges were 'trends' 

I went with Chevron Road - chevron, stars and handmade item

 I used some chevron paper, Ah Scrap handmade button + a d'lish scraps flair, 

and stamped some blue stars. I also used a small 

bling embellie under the photo.

I love these kind of challenges and can't wait to see what the

rest of the game will hold.

Scrapbooking top 50 - Sept challenge

I had some time (very rare these days) to do some scrapping last night.

So I gave the SB top 50 sketch challenge a go. 

I really like this sketch and it came together quite quickly.

I had already made the background with the dylusions and masks

some time ago, and thought this photo matched

the colours well. 

 and a closeup of the 2 masks used with the dylusions mists

 I also used an older Ah Scrap bottlecap to match the Batman theme

BW2 - September - Bright and colourful

Here in Australia, today is the 1st of Spring!!

And the weather is certainly beautiful here in Sydney.

So this month at Black with 2 we have an awesome

colour combo for you to play with.

Black + rainbow colours

Yes, more than 2 this month for a bit of a mix up!!

Here is my take on the challenge:

I used a few of the colours in 'splashes' around the photo

with some paints.

Kraft it Up Challenge-August

The August challenge over at Kraft It Up was for you to use the regulatory Kraft

cardstock, plus your Own style of scrapping!

Pretty simple!

I find it hard to describe my style,

but would think its 'neat and structured'
