scrap retreat photos

Well below is a bit of photo overload from the scrap retreat. So I won't talk much, just wanted to share some group pics and some pics of my fave layouts from the weekend.
Group photo by day:

And at night when all the freaks come out:

Here are the layouts (well some of them anyway)
This one I really love:

This was one of my favourites:

Here is another page created with the studio calico kit:

I even used some of my handmade flowers on this page:

crazy kid

A quick post to share this new layout of my son. I used some paper and accents that I got while on retreat (they were left on the swap table and I swapped some items for them). Thought they'd be great for a boys page and I think they work well. I have some bits and pieces left over so I am going to challenge my friend Aleta, to use them on a page for herself.

My Winning scrap page

I am very excited to have finally won a scrapbooking contest. Below is the page that won the category of 'Favourite page' of the weekend (Along with 1 other page).
Various items were used including Kraft cardstock, Penny lane and Stampin' Up! pp, Stampin' Up! antique brads, chipboard pieces, kaiser flowers, thickers, cosmo cricket tiny types, misc leaves, ink, and the fabulous looking doily and hat pin were given to me by Anne at the Scrapgirls retreat as a thankyou for the Stampin' Up! demo I did at retreat. The hatpin was made by Anne (who is very clever indeed) Thankyou, I love it and it really made my page!!!
Thankyou to anyone reading this that voted for my page.xx

Studio Calico range

Oh boy, I haven't blogged on here for almost 2 months!!! Life has been so crazy lately, dramas aplenty and going through a kitchen renovation, travelling to Wagga for athletics etc etc. I haven't really had time to stop, let alone scrap. Actually, this page was created over a month ago and I haven't scrapped anymore since.
Anyway, I purchased this Studio Calico kit (Elementary) from
Scrapbooking from scratch and I absolutely love it!!! The kit Peta has put together is awesome and I found it so easy to put the page together and love the result.
On the scrapbooking front, I am heading off to a Scrap girls retreat this Friday-Sunday and am so looking forward to it and to finally get into some serious scrapping (its been too long and I need a release), It will be good for my soul to get away from this stress and do something I enjoy and with great friends. I'm sure there will be lots of photos to share once next week comes around.
