@ Surfers

Just realised I've not posted anything here for a month!! Well it is the Silly season and I have been really busy trying to organise myself for Xmas. I've also had work xmas functions, family xmas get-togethers to attend. I am almost due to take a long break from work so I plan to scrap quite alot and hopefully I can do this (instead of basking in the sun!)
This is a layout I completed a little while ago and forgot to share. I won these gorgeous Prima masks from a Storyboard Kits giveaway (I was very excited by this as I never win anything!!). So the day they arrived in the mail I created this layout and I really love it. I must pull the masks out and use them again, as I really love the effect it creates.

Items Used: Bazzill, glimmermist, pp - Kaisercraft, craftworks felt flower, Carolees creations sticker, fiskars border punch, inque boutique felt pieces, Prima stencil and flower centre, rhinstone, Kaisercraft rub-ons, and thickers.

One gorgeous day

I havent done a lot of scrapping lately, been a bit busy focusing on this weekend coming - my launch party for Stampin' Up!. But last night I was feeling a bit down (mainly feeling the loss of the pet bird Benny, who flew away on Thursday)so I pulled out the scrapping supplies and wasnt quite sure of how it would turn out given my mood. But i am quite happy with the final outcome. I scrapped some photos I had of the family playing in a wonderful park we found while camping last year.

items used: pp - kaisercraft, graphic 45, ruby rockit, kaisercraft letter stickers, Stampin' Up! punch, ink and smooch spritz, wow chipboard word, gloss paint and glitter.
I apologise for the photo, I just couldn't photograph the 'gorgeous' properly with the gloss on it.

Girls weekend of scrapping

The weekend of October 15-17, 4 friends and I went away for a girls weekend to the Central Coast, The Entrance. We rented this great little apartment with ocean views and within walking distance to everything we needed. We even found a great little scrapbook shop which we went a little crazy in. We all took our scrapping stuff (Apart from one friend who isnt into scrapping YET, so she knitted away while we scrapped). I completed 7 pages (was aiming for 6) and I am sharing a few of them now, this first one was inspired yet again by Ebony Van Der Starre. I love her work and I am super happy with how this page came out.

Another new flower creation, this one made of felt from cuttlebug templates which i ran through the Sizzix Big shot. Love this new line of kaisercraft papers too!

This page has some of my own creations - My organza flowers! 2 different varieties, and I'm happy with the way they look.

This one created from Kaisercraft papers (From the kit I put together for the girls)PLUS, my very own flowers. I really love these flowers, I think they really make a statement. Tell me what you think???

I put together a kit for each of us, mainly consisting of Kaisercraft papers, letters, and I think the girls loved them because they all used them on more than one layout. I love how this one turned out

Heres a little sneak peek at what I've been up to. I've been making my own embellishments. I am joining a group of ladies for a craft sale, so I have been making lots and lots of these little flowers to sell at the stall along with some older scrapbooking supplies and stamps.

So if you are in the Lalor Park / Seven Hills area, these are the details for the craft sale.

Where: Church Hall
Cnr Heffron Road and Gallop Grove
LALOR PARK

When: Saturday 23rd October
Time: 9am -1pm only

The ladies have cleaned out their cupboards and all items need new homes. Stamp sets, handmade gifts, scrapbooking items, lots of Stampin' Up products and more.

So if you are close to the area, come along for a visit, you may just find something nice.

Weekend Away

Last weekend we went away for my friend, Melissa's birthday. We went to a place called Villa Lago at Coomba Bay NSW. What a relaxing and beautiful place this is (a bit of photo overload to come...) Perfect for a weekend away or girls weekend as these photos show.

Below are pics of the room Jason and I had (They let us have the main suite which was fantastic!!) Huge king size bed with amazing views, and our ensuite with massive spa bath and double shower (the ensuite was bigger than our home bedroom!!)

And while away I took my scrapping stuff in case I had some time to scrap - of which I managed. I was up at the crack of dawn (due to the sun shining right through the windows) so I ended up completing the following 2 pages. Was pleased that I got 2 done.

Your smile brightens my day

I have had the last 2 days off work so I could attend different activities my daughter has had on for school. Items used: pp - kaisercraft, paper loft, hat pin, doily, book paper, lace, staples, 3 bugs in a rug sticker, kaiser rhinestone flower, scrap fx chipboard, rhinestones, kaisercraft rubons, swiss dots cardstock.

more card making

Forgot to add this to the last post. I have been making quite a few cards to sell at work. I loved this paper range from Allison Ellis and it made making the cards so simple. I added some extra striped paper from my scraps to change from girly looking to boy friendly.

new things

I have been really enjoying my scrapbooking lately, and I am finally getting through my mountain of 'to scrap' photos. Have 2 to share today. This 1st one is the cabin we stayed at for our 10th Wedding anniversary and its the 1st time I have played around with using a real doily on the page. I picked up this doily from the Salvos store for 50 cents!! Bargain! And i love the effect it gives to this page.
Items used: pp - stampin up, cosmo cricket tiny types, vinyl thickers, craftworks chipboard, doily, paper inklings rub on, enthaily flowers and leaves, kaiser, Gt and bella flowers, pearls, staples, brads, prima flower centre, date stamp.

This one I also love. Came together nicely. Journalling is about our WET visit to Culburra Beach where I made everyone get out in the rain and wind for this photo.
I am thinking of entering this in the sketch challenge for SFS again - I loved the sketch so much, this is just altered and flipped.
items used: pp - stampin up, cosmo cricket, bazzill scallop cardstock, li'l davis chipboard, foam tape, ink, gemstone, craftworks chipboard.

Quilled cards

I have been making some quilled cards the last few weeks (but they are quite time consuming). Last year I started making some and taught myself, and then I sold them at work. I got a good response from the cards I made, so I am making ALOT more, all styles, to try and sell again just before Xmas. I quite like these ones.
The stamps on these are from Stampin' Up.

Happy (xmas page with a difference)

I have been playing around this past week making these ribbon flowers. I found this vintage lace from the op shop and turned it into these beautiful flowers. Now I have gone a little crazy and stocked up on lace, as I think the flowers look better made from lace than ribbon. I also picked up a 250g bag of great buttons on special (old stock) from Aldi Seven Hills for $4.99. Great buy!
This is another oldish photo, xmas 2008, lunch time at mum and dads playing out in the sun. The kids still holding onto their new toys from Santa.
Items used: making memories pp, kaisercraft bling, bazzill, lace, buttons, kindy glitz, ribbon, gold twine, journal spot, metal clip, paper doily, heart ghost shape, staples, American Craft thickers, I-kan-dee tag (ho ho ho), paper flower made from scrap pp - bo bunny and Kaisercraft.
