SUYS May

This months challenge at SUYS was a sketch challenge
Here is my take on the challenge
with my handmade check flag
I used the sticker at the top right to make the heading
'good times' and the other wording in it
to be a sub title...let the "good times' roll

 and a few close ups

Scrap the Girls - May Challenge

This months Scrap the girls caught my eye.
You had to complete your page just by interpreting this quote:
" Something old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue"
So here is my take on this quote.
I went with NEW - my new Heidi Swapp embellishments &
BLUE - blue gelatos, feather and doily
This is a photo of mine and my daughters colourful colour run socks.

A closeup of the embellishments (my NEW item)
 some of the BLUE items
 and a bit more detail
I really enjoyed making this page

SB Top 50 - Scraplift challenge - April

A Scraplift Challenge is happening again over at SB top 50
The first challenge I have done is Bernii Miller (current SBM Master)
Here is Bernii's amazing page
and my interpretation of it:
I kept a similar wooden background, just gesso'ed it to soften it
and kept all elements in similar spots
 also included the doilies.
Next up was also another current SBM Master, Raquel Bowman
Here is her page
Here is my page:
I kept layers behind the photo, and wood veneer chevron. Also kept triangle corner
and washi strip at the bottom
I added more misting with a textured backing
and added some micro beads to the paste and also used
some silver inka gold
Lastly and my favourite challenge was another current
SBM Master, Sophie Koschmann
 Here is my page
I kept layers behind photo and also used watercolours and misting.
Changed my embellies to suit the boy photo and added some more splats
I always enjoy theses scraplift challenges and now I have my
mojo flowing again - Thanks SB top 50
