Childhood games cyber challenge - SB top 50

HI all

I gave this fun looking challenge a go and I am so

glad that I did!

I had heaps of fun with it and even managed

to complete the 4 pages over 1 day + managed

to also complete 1 of their other challenges too.

So here is some photo overload!

Childhood games challenge - SB top 50

First up is  - Chinese checkers

Criteria - use stars and a symbol in the title

Tic tac toe challenge

you were to pick from any row to see what items to use

I chose the bottom row: arrows, chipboard and washi

heres my page which I must say, I am extremely happy with!

 I adore this patterned paper by Prima - makes it look

like I have spent hours creating a mixed media background - and its only paper!

Heres a closeup of the washi, chipboard title and wood veneer arrows

Next up is the Twister challenge

Use all 4 colours of the twister game + circles

 The background is created with gesso, gelatos and some stamps

 also used lots of random stickers, stamps and washi

Lastly, the UNO Challenge

Use layering, rectangles and a number

 rectangles cut from scraps

 a number in the title and the washi tapes

Layering under my collage photo of mist, tissue paper and patterned papers

WOW, told you it was photo overload!

I will be back in the next day or so with a share of the other

challenge I managed to complete as well.

BW2 - February challenge

Hi all!

BW2 have another great challenge for this month

Black + Aqua + Pink (and the word DREAM in your

title or journalling)

Don't forget we also have the sketch to follow as well!

Here are this months requirements

So here is my take on this months colours

 I used a project life card to replace the 2nd photo of the sketch.

I also used some older foam stamps on the painted background, a bit of washi tape, chipboard

title and flourish, flowers, bling and a flair button

 I used the required word, DREAM, in my journalling. It had been

a dream of mine for a very long time to see the  Great Ocean Road,

and it was something I will never forget.

We had a great number of entries last month, so lets see some more

this month!

Show Us Your Stuff - January

Happy Australia Day everyone!!!

I have created this layout for the challenge over at SUYS

Here is the inspiration image + use a handmade item

Here is my layout:

I have used some polaroid selfies taken on NYE.

My handmade items are the 2 flair buttons (top and bottom)

 I used some gesso to tone down the brightness of the Jillibean paper

underneath the photos

and one last close-up of the other flair at the top.

Items used: Jillibean pp, pink paislee note, flair buttons, doily, studio calico wood

veneers, prima flower, basic grey clip, ink.

BW2 - January challenge

2014 is here and so is the new challenge over at Black with 2

This month sees a new style to the challenges on the blog.

Still the usual Black with 2 but there is a new

mood board (below) with a sketch and a WORD to use as well.

So here is my page, inspired by the seaside image.

I have used paint to carry the effect of the waves across the page.

and just a bit of washi and flowers.

 I decided to use the WORD love, in my journalling

 and a pretty little flair button with some twine.

Scrap the Boys-December challenge

And while I was at it and the mojo was flowing, I also finished this

page for the Scrap The Boys Challenge.

The theme for this month was:

'All I want for Christmas'

So here is my page of my elfy son.

 I used a charms creations mini runner, and the cute little

elf is a Xmas decoration made from clay

(From K-Mart) - I thought they were so cute

and they came in a mixed pack of 3.

Also, the Xmas tree paper there is actually the packaging from

the decoration!!

And the star paper is also packaging from the Studio Calico pack

 I love these wood veneer stars! Going to be using them heaps!

Scrap the Girls - December challenge

Yep, its the weekend before Xmas and I have scrapped!!!

Crazy, but yes. All my shopping is done, its a hot day

so i scrapped in the air-con

This page is for the challenge over at 'Scrap the Girls'

You had to use multiple photos - 3 or more!

 I have scrapped 3 photos of my daughter and I on the Boomerang

slide at Waterbom Park Bali from our January holiday 2013.

 I have used some texture paste and mists, tissue paper,

and this cool frame from Studio Calico.

 Also did some light stamping among the mist

And finally a closeup of us on the slide - it was so much fun!
